4 rims of same size?
Hi,
I have to replace my Rims on my 2014 IS350 AWD (FSport). The tire shop is suggesting me to replace them by 4 rims of the same size (fitting 225/40R18 tires), instead of the 2 different dimensions (back and front). He argues that tit may help extend life of tires by allowing rotation from back to front. This also simplifies the search for RIMS since very few company does RIMS that are not the same size.
Is this a good idea? What are the drawbacks of putting larger tires in the front?
Thanks!

Thanks for the answer. Would it be preferable to go square with the larger, or the smaller ones?
Also, any good suggestion on best summer tires for mileage? (I would like something that would last a little more than the 6000 miles my previous summer (Pilot AS3) tires did - (with noise level going up starting at only 3000 miles, because of wear).

Sounds like the tire guy is suggesting to get 4 of the same F Sport rims, specifically 4 of the front ones.
If not, then that is my misunderstanding.
As Darqhelmet suggested, If you want to stay with 18's and do a square setup, 18X8.5 +35 is a great fitment.
You can use the same tire size that is on the rear of your stock F Sport right now.
It will come close to filling out the fender, but still have lots of room for everything to clear, even if you lower the car a bit.

Edited post. Misread tire change planned as well!
Glad to know 8.5 will fit up front as well on the 225 without issue!
if it's any help, my current treadware is 560 in the rear which I expect good long mileage out of and too my surprise no squeal from the tired even with that harder compound (and I'm pretty heavy footed).
