This product works amazingly well. I've successfully used it twice now. You'll need to wait for a sunny day because it requires a UV cure (i.e. the sun) for curing. I believe Rain-x makes a similar kit as well, but I can't speak to it...

Amazon Amazon

There's plenty of YouTube videos showing the process.

Ah, yes. I've used this product before on my older car. Didn't really work... maybe I just did it wrong lol. (It was a cloudy day, I remembered).

But nevertheless, the job is done. Hopefully it doesn't crack further.

Make sure to maintain record of service and / or receipt as I'm sure the work is warrantied for some period of time. Happy driving!
^ I'm pretty sure there is no warranty, since he wasn't charged for the job.

The guy says 1 year. But, your right he didn't charge me.

But, he seems like a man of his words. If anything goes wrong, I'll just go back to his shop. His place has 500 yelp reviews... 99% of it are 5 stars.

Okay so I don't know what is going on but I just purchased a brand new 2017 IS300 last month and after only 2 days of owning the car I had 3 rocks hit my windshield and cause 3 small rock chips!!

And today on my way home again on the same road opposite direction another two small rock chips !!

i would think it’d be the roads you’re driving on.

Im sure it is, and the fact that the car is lower than most other cars on the road im sure plays a big part.

My NX if I had 2 small rock chips the 3 years I owned it.

This car = 7 in one month!!!

And I have been driving on the same road to work and back last three years also

NX is a taller vehicle, so the path of where most rocks will travel will miss your windshield.

Plus, I read somewhere that the IS has a windshield that is particularly angled in a way that makes it more prone to make contact with rocks.

I had a Mazda 6 before the IS, and a rarely got "visible" nicks or chips on its windshield. The IS seems to get alot more.

*my commute change from time to time, will be have a new commute that seems to be less busy*

Just so you guys know if you do happen to make a claim and they replace it it’ll be an aftermarket non oem part
i had to get mine replaced as the crack went basically half way across
maybe it’s just me but I think I hear more wind on the highway

So with Geico I know if the car is within the first year of ownership they will replace your windshield with OEM glass.
Also I’m curious to see how the new rear view mirror mounted sensor comes into play on the 17+ models because of they have safelight or some other company do it and they mess anything up or are not trained on how to remove and reattach that sensor I’m sure that’s going to void the warranty for that system as well as can cause safety issues with how that system works. I’m pretty sure that sensor is for the lane keep assist.

So so we will see.
