Help Getting New Tires ?!
I've done a fair share of research and went with the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+. Worst decision ever. They hummmmm, at weird speeds. I've had the fronts replaced under warranty and it reduced the "hum" but its still evident.
I have the hum at 70 MPH but it doesn’t bother me d:
Hey @Flash5 ~ and peeps with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ ~ how many miles are you at, and how's the durability, longevity, treadwear, etc? Thanks!!

I wonder if that hum will go away as the tires wear. My BFG's had a similar hum for a couple thousand miles, but the last several times I drove on the interstate I didn't hear a thing.
Either, Germany has different air/wind or the tire wear is making it less noticeable because over here the hum isn't as loud or constant as it was in the states. I noticed it when I received the car from the shipping company so might be the former lol.
It could be from wear or lowering.
I have these tires as well and don't have any issues at all here in Germany too. I've even gotten my car up to 158 MPH on the Autobahn with no issues.
Hot Dang ~ for the very first time in almost 2 years, Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ is LEADING in the Polls at ~49% versus 2nd place Michelin Pilot Super Sport @ ~44%.

A long time ago I had Khumo tires on my Honda Accord and the side walls constantly got damaged from road imperfections causing bulges that required them to be replaced immediately and was not covered under warranty. I would never use cheap low profile tires again.
Are you able to fit NON-low profile tires on IS350 FSport?
Or, are you just saying that Khumo tires specifically are cheap?

Not only this but PSS's get super dangerous below like 40 degrees F. The compound becomes stiffer and changes and the rear end will kick out in turns during cold temps, you can only imagine what would happen if the roads were icy or snowy or wet.
Any summer tire shouldn’t be used at those temps. Not only are they dangerous, you will very likely destroy them at those temps. They are called summer tires for a reason.
Honestly I wouldn't recommend Michelin for the IS. I have the Pilot Sport A/S 3+ on mine currently. The performance is great, wet or dry, I can take off from a red light super quick and corner confidently. It performs admirably in snow also, no problem there. However after 8k miles, the front tires has developed some serious uneven wear on the inside and no longer ride smoothly at certain speeds. Front tire wear is a known issue for the IS with any tire, but according to my dealer, Michelins in particular does not play with IS well, they've had other people with Michelin come in with the same issues I had. It's not all IS mind you, but some owners had this problem. It still performs well and is miles ahead of the stock tire, but the minor issue is a bit annoying. I will probably seek out alternatives with the next set.
