hello friends, first time posting here. I am planning on getting a new IS 350 F-sport. I have noticed on the Lexus build options that only the NONE F-sports types can have the parking sensors. I believe it's called intuitive parking assistant, right? Is there no way to get a F-sport optioned with this option? Seems kind of lame not to....It's not a deal breaker for me, but I would love to have it.

they come with the luxury package and the luxury package cannot be combined with the f-sport package and vice versa.

I'm unfamiliar with the process, but you can't custom order it to have both? Is their an actual limitation that says you can't do otherwise ?

no, you cannot custom order them to have both. there is a procedural limitation from lexus/toyota corporate.

I hope it's okay for me to ask some more questions on this thread. I think I am just getting myself more confused with the available options between the f-sport trims and base models of IS. Let me just get this clear. As far as I can tell the FSport (US models) Do not come with options such as parking sensors, de-icer windshield wipers, Active sound, automatic tilting side mirrors for reversing, and powered telescoping steering wheel? The base models lack the LFA style center console cluster, tuned suspension, bolstered front seats, and Sport + mode? Is this correct?

base models lack all of that, too. it's the luxury package that brings in all of those goodies. base and luxury models look the same, but definitely are not the same.

so, to answer your question, no, it is not correct. there are three iterations of the IS -- the base model, the luxury model, and the f-sport model.
