Default How much would it cost to fix or replace this?

Hello everyone! So a little backstory, I bought my car used last year and there was this minor imperfection on the armrest. It looked like someone tried to repair it (not well) but nonetheless, I didn't really mind it until now. Earlier today, I noticed that it's starting to tear again on the lower side of the repaired area, and now I want to get it fixed or at least patched again so that the tear doesn't get any bigger. I was just wondering if anyone knows how much it would cost to fix or replace this?

You could try taking your car to a car upholstery shop and have them reupholster the armrest. Should be cheaper than replacing the armrest.

just replace it. it's always going to look repaired if you choose to keep it and it looks pretty bad right now.

For 180 id personally just replace it. With any repair, there's a chance it'll fail. If you replace with new, then you know it'll last. It's a piece of mind thing for me. Even if the repair was only 50 (just a random number I pulled) I'd still pay the extra for brand new.

that 180 would likely turn into 300 or more for me though haha with exchange rate, shipping and duties....bleh. Still worth knowing it's new would make me happy.

The center armrest is Nuluxe (vinyl) in every trim/package.

right, i was indirectly referencing nuluxe, but should have been clearer. the luxury packaged only comes with leather trimmed seating surfaces as well as the bits that are leather, e.g. steering wheel, that we all get.

I would replace it like everyone is saying. You wont find better than OE fit and finish. I am going through similar issues with my interior and although expensive OE is the way to go. I would search ebay on the regular or local junk yards first then worst case hit up a local dealer and bring the lube

Get an old leather jacket or go but a piece of leather at a fabric store and do it yourself for free....Take your time...it's very easy and can look perfect.
