Lease Ending Soon - Lexus or Audi?
The lease on my 15' IS350 AWD F-Sport is up soon. Absolutely loved this car. Do I get the same car but 17' model OR pick up one of the new 17' Audi A5 Sportbacks? I'd love an RC350 but it's due for a refresh and I don't want to get one the model year before a refresh. You can't beat the exterior styling of the IS but the interior/infotainment is outdated.

I was looking at the Audi S3 before I picked up an IS350.
If lease, I would go for the S3, but I'm going to end up keep the car. Thus, Lexus will be cheaper to maintain.

If you're leasing again...maybe try an Audi, but I would get an S4/S5 Sportback. I'm not the fan of how the turbo-4 sounds. If you like lower maintenance costs and more bang for your buck, maybe stick with another Lexus.
Also, you can extend your lease for up to 6 months if you need. You may see the RC refreshed by the end of this year for the 2018MY.

If you're just leasing, I'd say get the Audi. They are incredible cars to drive, lots of fun, very nimble and responsive. Definitely not long term types though. If you intend to keep it after, I'd say stick with Lexus. Or you can always go back to Japanese after your lease on the Audi is up

Since you're leasing, you're not really worried about maintenance after the warranty is over.
I'm sure Audi gives out loaners when your vehicle is in there every other month for repairs, so likely over the term of the lease you'll get to drive a wide variety of Audi vehicles.
I agree with laovo's comment above, unless you absolutely love the car, I wouldn't lease the same car again.
I think dchar's idea of extending the lease for 6 months is great to get you into a refreshed RC.

Lexus just did a refresh for 2017, so I don't think they'd be changing up the style for another 3 years or so. The 2IS had a mild update in 2011 and they kept that style for 3 years. So I don't think you'd be getting a car a year before a redesign is due. I think your new lease would be up right as the 4IS is being released.

Has anyone else driven both the IS350 and a new A4 or A5? I am kinda intrigued by the new A5, especially the sportback, as well (but I have a couple of years to go yet).

I drove an A5. While it does look fantastic inside and out, it has no life at all. The 4 cyl turbo is quiet... like dead quiet.
Its pickup isn't bad, but is a noticeable drop from the IS350.
Handling seemed good though.
Don't forget, Audi is really bad for features. Want full Bluetooth pairing? Gotta get the top package.

Here is CorradoMR2's thread on it:

He traded in his '14 IS250 for a '17 A4. Kept the A4 for 6 weeks and 850 miles, got bored with it, and traded it in for a new IS300.

German cars are fun, great to have when new if there isn't an issue but after 3,4 years I would dump them
