you sure about that? I was fairly certain the IS now has electric over hydraulic steering. No physical connection between the steering wheel and the rack.

100% certain.

Yes, the steering is power assisted via an electric motor, rather than hydraulic, but it is still physically connected. They just replaced the hydraulic assist with electric assist.

The only car in this class with steer by wire is the DAS system on the Infiniti Q50/60. No physical connection at all (although there is one that activates if you lose power). It's not been favorably reviewed.

Indeed. I haven't experienced it myself but have not heard good things about the Infiniti DAS.

It sucks. My Volvo dealership is owned by a family that also owns infinity and Jaguar. They us Q50's for the loaner cars. Never been happy with them.

technician at the dealer could very well be wrong I guess. Tried looking it up but can't seem to find much information on it.

I had a loaded Q50S with DAS for a week. Drove the hell out of it and liked the car overall but the steering was bad. It wallowed in quick transitions and felt like a big car. I was seriously considering it until I drove the 335. Was gonna buy that then I test drove the IS350. Game over...the IS was just a better handling car.

I don't notice a delay (14 IS350). A bit "artificial" feeling, compared to a real cable-controlled throttle...

It has gotten a lot better now with my new exhaust install. Can't really feel the delay anymore. It was killing me so much before. My tune will be install by next week, good bye to the delay haha.

Default Pedal Commander

You can try the pedal commander or similar product. A lot of people in the 4Runner community i'm apart of have been using it with good results. No power added but does make the throttle more responsive. There are plenty of videos out there reviewing these types of controllers.

all car models after 2008 have drive by wires, they programmed the delay for safety feature
Apex-i smart controller eliminates most of the throttle delay.
Yes we do sell them but i actually use them on my GS and absolutely love them.
Dm em if any questions

Thanks
Lou

Delay ? i don't feel delay DBW with IS350 bro even before aftermarket exhaust installed, my old Toyota Solara delays like hell, i don't know about IS300 i was gonna say RR-Racing tune fixes that for IS200/300 , IS350 with TOP tier gas aggressive like hell, City street won't have enough space for me and i'm killing my brakes , I feel lag when in SNOW and ECO mode

Thats why i know myself , i only buy STRONG AND TOP one in production line car or ill regret
