Dead pedal squeak

This topic may be beaten to death, but is it typical for this gen to have a soft/mushy/squeaky dead pedal?

When I first got my IS 300, the dead pedal area seemed squeaky if I put pressure on it. Now, not so much. Haven't noticed it in a long time.
