I also had a similar problem with my '16 is200 at 70,000 miles. I thought it was the fuel pump, but the dealership discovered that it was a leaking fuel injector. Fixed it under the power train warranty.

So I had my fuel pump replaced without any help, but did the injector work for you? I'm sad to know that this is still going on, I traded my IS back in 2018.
