Default Driver seat tear

Hello forum, I know this has been discussed in the past but I haven't seen any recently. My car just has 15,000k a month shy to the one year anniversary and look what I found over the weekend. This is ridiculous an expensive car with such cheap seats. I took it to the dealer Saturday and still expecting a call from then for authorization. No pleased with the whole experience. For the past days every time I get in the car it reminds me of the $420 car payment and seating in a rip car seat . 2016 IS 200 F-sport.

Mines a 2015 with 21k and I'm a heavy guy that's hard on seats, and I've seen plenty of relatively high mileage examples with no tears, so I would think that would be some sort of manufacturing defect. Hopefully Lexus will see it that way too.

My 2014 Fsport has tears there too. I think it's the leather, Lexus Engineer should have tested Rubbing Tear before put it on their car.

I think the wear would be less if Lexus had comfort exit (seat moves back when turning off the car) so that the bolster would be rubbed and crushed less. Rub tests are usually don't with smooth objects, and unfortunately some clothing or accessories aren't smooth and cause this kind of damage.

If it really bothers you, you can probably find a car upholstery shop that can match the Nuluxe Rioja red and change it for you.
