New Camry is faster than IS250?
How do my other IS250 owners feel about the new 4 cylinder Camry having 203hp pretty much the same as our cars. I heard 0-60 is gonna be in the 7 second range. I'll be honest even though my 250 isn't fast it still felt nice being quicker than the hundreds of other Camrys on the road. Now their all gonna be just as fast.

Whatever, our interior and exterior is still 100x better and at least we have a luxury sport sedan vs a camry lol

Damn that new Camry XSE is nice looking!!
It's definitely gonna turn some heads...hell, it might even break some necks.
Performance numbers are good too.
All that being said, it's still not an IS...interior styling, hands down, still goes to the Lex.

I reckon only the 3.5 V6 will be faster than IS250? Accordingly, in the states, only 5% of camry sold are the 3.5 V6 engine equipped. Normally, one would not get a camry to be first off the line at stops.

My 2003 Camry V6 had the same amount of HP and 0-60 was in the 7.x range. But my 250 was so much more fun to drive. It looked nicer, felt faster, handled better, and sounded nicer. But a couple weeks ago I traded it in for a 350 so...............

Don't worry, most people that drive Camry have bad hips and won't be able to mash the pedal, so you will still win (lol) That was just a joke, didn't mean to offend any Camry drivers

My mother drives a 09 Rav4 with the 3.6L (i think that is the displacement) and it smashes my is250 in straight line speed. Did any of us really think that the is250 was fast? It's great looking inside and out, way quieter inside, and is rwd. If you want fast you are in the wrong car. (The 250, not the 350) She also tried to steal my IS when had to borrow her SUV to move a entertainment center so speed isn't everything.

I wouldn't be surprised if the new 301 horsepower V6 Camry kept up with the 3rd Gen IS350 from a dead stop as it's anticipated that the new Camry V6 will be a few tenths faster than the previous iteration (which had a 0-60 of approx. 5.8 secs).

The new Camry is around 3300-3400 lbs, which is considerably less than an IS, so straight line acceleration should be quite brisk.

Think about it...everything else that had the 3.5L was much heavier: Camry, Avalon, Highlander, Sienna. That RAV4 was an absolute rocket ship...as funny as that sounds.
Eventually leading to the 3.5L being removed from the lineup of the RAV4.
Everything that had a bigger engine was an even bigger vehicle...so nothing was faster.
