Default 2016 IS300 F Sport Wheel Setup

Hi Guys,

I don't know much about rims or wheels but i am very interested in going to 19 inch from my F Sport 18 inch rims. Would the rim spec work for my Lexus? Also, because our Lexus has a staggered set-up, does it mean my rim specs have to be different too? What tire specs do i need to get for the 19 inch setup? Thanks.

19 in. / 8.5 in. / 5 x 114.3 / +45 mm / 73.1

Hey minhael,

Here's some specs I posted on another members build. Ideally you want a front offset of +35 and rear +40 if you're doing a staggered setup still.

Stock F-Sport Wheel specs
18X8 +40 225/40/18
18X8.5 +50 255/35/18

19 inch upgrade with staggered fitment (to keep the exact same tire circumference as the stock 18 inch wheels - no offset as that is wheel manufacturer specific):
19X8.5 225/35/19
19X9.5 255/30/19

19 inch upgrade with staggered fitment - with plus size on tires:
19X8.5 235/35/19
19X9.5 265/30/19

19 inch upgrade with staggered fitment - with plus plus size on tires:
19X8.5 245/35/19
19X9.5 275/30/19

If you want to do a square setup (all rims the same specs) in a 19X8.5, then I would suggest a +35 offset. With your suggested +45 the wheel will be tucked in a little more than you might like...everything would clear though.
You could even do a +40 if you're not comfortable going to a +35 offset.
As you can see from my signature below I went from the F Sport staggered to a square setup that is 8.5 wide with a +35 offset. My front rubs a tiny bit at full lock, but I'm also running a 20 inch rim, so you'll be fine at 19 inch.

Thanks Sasnuke for the great info. I think i will keep the Staggered setup since it came with that setup. I just want the big rim so it looks little lower haha.

This is me (below)...if you miss me on the road, then it's on you...lol! I frequent Richmond Hill, 404, and Scarborough. I doubt there are many Matador Red Mica's around. I'm hoping to make it out to one of those GTA meets at some point now that the ride is looking a little better.

I looked at the pic and was thinking it was Lexus Downtown...the Mercedes is across the street.
I got one more free oil change from there...then i'm going to do them at the dealer near me...Lexus Downtown is just a little too far.
I was looking hard for a USB, but couldn't find one for the life of me. I'm good with the MRM though..

I am done with my free service haha....it;s far for me too, i will probably go to one near me too. When i was searching i couldn't find any USB too in Ontario...Seems like all the USB was in Alberta for some reasons. I got this one by accident, didn't even know they had USB around till i got to the dealership haha.

Hey guys. im looking to get a square setup for my car it would be 225/40/18 and the wheels i wanna get are 18x8 +40 and with a 70.5mm hub. they should fit perfect but im not sure what the hub is. is that anything to worry about? it is like a hub cap or something? Ive never ordered wheels before so any help would be much appreciated! it also has 5x114.3 which i think is right, im just concerned about the hub, and will +40mm offset be okay for the front and back?

It's referring to hub-centric wheels as opposed to lug-centric wheels. Hub is what you want.

Most aftermarket wheels come with a larger center bore (hub) so that they can fit a wider variety of vehicles.
In that case you would use a hub spacer that goes from 70.5mm to 60.1mm (that's the size of the hub on the IS).
With regards to the offset, it will fit the rear.
With regards to the front, you would have to confirm if the spoke design will clear the brake calipers. With the +40 offset it may not.

Correct. I forgot about the spacer.

Sasnuke & Sprinkles, thankyou. so i would need a hub spacer okay, would i just buy a hub spacer the equals 60.1mm? or would i need a hub spacer that equals 10.4mm, i just subtracted 70.5 by 60.1..? will you please check out these wheels and tell me what you think i would need to get for them to fit my car. i just want them to look normal on my car without any issues. they are the 18x8 like i was saying! here is the link: https://www.carid.com/niche-wheels/m...311731061.html

I could be wrong, but most tire shops will have the spacers. I've never had to buy one... just took my wheels to the shop and they mounted them, using a spacer they provided. Might want to check w/ your tire shop just to make sure.

According to Carid's fitment guide they are guaranteed to fit...at that point they are committing to you that the rims will fit the car. I used a 2016 IS350 AWD as the fitment vehicle...which basically will cover that it will fit any 3IS regardless of engine or drivetrain.
They also offer an installation kit which will come with the hub spacers and lug nuts.
If you did want to purchase hub spacers seperately, they are sold by inner and outer diameter.
So you would purchase one that has an inner diameter (ID) of 60.1mm and an outer diameter (OD) of 70.5mm...here is an example: https://www.ebay.ca/itm/Hub-Centric-...UAAOSwZ39fBl5G
The example link won't fit your car, but it gives you an idea of what you are looking for.
Admittedly 70.5mm for the rim hub bore is a little bit of an odd size...if it was bigger it would be easier to find the appropriate hub ring...line 72.1mm or 73mm.
But since Carid offers the installation kit, I would just confirm they will give you the spacers in the kit, and call it a day.
