Car shops near Niagara Falls
Hi ,
Anyone has any connection to a car garage in the US Niagara Falls boarder? I am thinking of working with a garage there to get all my parts order and then drive over to get the parts install and then drive back to Toronto. These shipping and import taxes are killing me. Thanks.

I don't know of a shop in the US, but check this out as an alternate so you can bring the parts over yourself: http://www.cbiusa.com/
Thanks for the heads up Sasnuke but i am worry i will still get ding for the import tax but definitely will save me tone on the shipping cost.

Cant suggest a shop but here is some personal advice on what I do and have done.
#1. Most important - never ever use UPS. Their brokage fees are insane. Ask for regular shipping. If it is coming from the US have them use the USPS (United States Postal Service). You'll get your stuff via Canada Post. It might take a bit longer but a lot of the time things go through without ever getting checked.
#2. If the parts are used, make sure that is what they are declared as. USED AUTO PARTS.
#3. Have the shipper declare the value as less than what you paid. It is a risk if your package goes missing or gets damaged so if your importing say a carbon finer kit, then this isn't a good idea, but small cheaper stuff your not risking much.
#4. You can also have things shipped to a UPS store in Buffalo and pick up from there and drive it back.
