Is 28k out the door a reasonable offer to make on a 2014 IS 350 F Sport?

Checkout carguru.com in your area. You can find some great deals posted there some times.

Just tell them you only have access to things like kbb and cargurus, therefore can only make offers that reflect those prices. That's what I told the Porsche dealer when I bought my Boxster a few months ago. They then dropped it to $100 over my offer, which I accepted. ( was almost a $4k drop)

Lexus whipped out the kbb price and showed me I was under the kbb price, therefore wouldn't budge an inch. Threw in $200 to cover my hotel stay though.

You can probably get lower since it's going into 4th year MY for 3rd gen. Plus high mileage. Check KBB, but overall $28k seems a bit high.

Ive been all over carguru, maybe its a NC thing because all the prices are high 29k and higher. I have to travel to GA and VA just to find some decent ones under 28k.

All depends on your location and is the car lexus certified? Everyone saying it's overpriced are out of their head. I searched for over 2 months to find a clean IS 350. Ended up with a 2014 certified 39k Miles for 30k before taxes. Most were going for 35-36k before taxes. There were cheaper options with lower miles but they were not lexus certified.

Gotta be a NC thing. When I was searching, I found the prices quite high at both Hendricks dealers in the Charlotte area. I went to Atlanta area to get my 14 w/ 29k for $30k last September. I would definitely search in Atlanta area though due to larger selection and more competitive pricing.

Yup, I was in Charlotte this past weekend. Went to the same dealerships and it was the same story. Im already planning for ATL his weekend. Trying to decide if I want to fly or drive. If I drive Im gonna have to upgrade this Corolla rental for a Camry... this thing is awful on the highway.

See if you can negotiate for them to throw in an extended warranty for that price.

Just for comparison, i bought my 2014 is350 f sport with 22k miles for 37OTD from a lexus dealership and thats about two years ago.

That's weird. I live in GA and noticed vehicles (in general) are priced higher than outside of GA, or south GA for the most part. I think it has a lot to do with the Ad Velorum tax we have to pay on all vehicle purchases (dealer and private sales) which can make out of state prices for GA residents unreasonable if taxes are paid twice.

We have Hendricks Lexus here in the ATL area and the sales staff can be a little aggressive or even hostile. Nalley Lexus in the ATL metro area has treated me well and their pricing isn't as bad as other dealers here.
