I was pretty sure Magellan was going to blow us all out of the water with oldest vehicle...and I was not disappointed! Way to go Magellan!!!
And you are correct, keeping that 57 would have been worth a pretty penny today...and I mean bag loads of money.
Time to one up Magellan in "oldness"
1953 Ford, bought in 1963 for $250. Actually a very rare car for the day. It was a 2 door hardtop, black carpets, black headliner, vinyl seats, and all factory tinted windows. Flathead V8 too! Like Magellan, wish I still had it.
Excluding the two cars I had in high school and college, my 1st car that I paid for was a brand new red 1994 Pontiac Firebird (back in 1994). I have always been a sports car/sports sedan kind of guy and not much has changed over the past 23 years. I did have a brief encounter with a '95 Ford Ranger truck (brand new) in which the transmission went out at 10K miles. Once it was fixed, I drove directly to a Honda dealership and bought a '96 Honda Civic and never bought a domestic since then.....Here is my history below:
1981 Chevy Monte Carlo
1986 Ford EXP
1994 Pontiac Firebird
1995 Ford Ranger
1996 Honda Civic EX
1996 Acura TSX
1995 Mazda Millenia S - Favorite car
1996 Acura TL
2001 BMW 525i
2008 Honda Civic EXL
2010 Honda Accord Coupe EXL
2009 Acura TL SHAWD Tech - 3rd Favorite
2015 Lexus IS 250 F Sport - Current ride and 2nd Favorite
