They can't afford anything because their dream jobs don't pay the 6 figures they think they are entitled to fresh out of college with no work experience, never mind keeping up with rent or saving for a down payment!

I'm 23! But, my parents helped me with the purchase. They gave me 10k for down payment & I took my savings through years of working for a total of 30k down. I am now financing the rest! 1.5 year left.

I pay my own rent/food, but I'm bless to not have to pay for insurance (health/auto).

I'm also a college student
