I have a 16 350 F sport and drive a balance of 60% city and 40% highway. Never really sit in heavy traffic. I consistently average about 19 mpg overall. Absolutely sucks! And i don't drive the car hard. My last vehicle was a Grand Cherokee Limited with tow package and I averaged just under 18. This is one area Toyota needs to address. Should average 21-22. Looked at the Infiniti Q50 Red Sport with 400 hp and would've averaged 22.

17-19 mpg I only get in city driving, heavy city driving, like San Francisco at 4-5 pm trying to get out of the city towards Bay Bridge, with bumper to bumper traffic.

IS200T is not better than the old 2.5V6 in fuel efficiency, pure lies...

2014 IS250, on average I get 20mpg in the city. Last summer I did a 2900 mile road trip over 8 days, and averaged 29-30mpg during my trip. Those numbers were about the same with my 2011 IS250 too.

2016 200t. I get 19MPG. It's probably due to my lead foot, but this car is very hard to get good fuel economy in; even quarter throttle will cause the instant MPG to drop under 20MPG.

Fun fact, I recently have been moved to a different office with the company I work for, and my commute no longer involves a highway. Even so, my MPG has improved because - there are fewer traffic lights! There are all sorts of variables to consider - technically it's a city-driving commute, but I have since been averaging 19.5 or so MPG compared to the low 18 range before. A slight increase, but an increase nonetheless.

Just wanted to underscore that "your mileage may vary" is true and very unpredictable.

I feel your pain lol. the Lexus manufacturer specs that say 22city/33hwy average is pure nonsense. I doubt driving in eco for a full tank going 100% hwy miles @ 65-70mph will even give you 33 lol. Oh well, smiles over miles it is

2014 IS350 AWD F Sport AWD with 47k Miles on it. I've had the car since july with 39k on it.

I am currently getting about 16 miles per gallon. 70/30 city/highway. I usually leave the car in eco mode. When I am on the highway, I am always passing cars and merge when I want to, meaning I drive the car more spiritedly than average. When I merge on the highway ramps, I open the car up to comfortable get in the flow of traffic.

My best was 23 miles per gallon on a road trip from Toronto to DC. I was going about 75 MPH.

It's winter and freezing here, I used to get about 14 mpg earlier on in the fall/winter overall, but I recently changed my oil, engine filter and dumped a bottle of fuel system cleaner and I think it helped. I am doing the spark plugs shortly in hopes of getting better mileage.

My previous car was a '10 Honda Civic LX Sedan Automatic which sipped gas. I am easily spending 50% more at the pump, but it is so worth it.
