Default Wheel Paint Chipping

I have owned my 14 is 350 F-sport for almost a month now and while cleaning the salt and road grime off my car in a touch free car wash noticed that one of my rear wheels has paint chipping off of it. There is no curb rash, no knick from anything hitting it, and no scratch what-so-ever. The paint looks like it wasn't sealed correctly and is flaking off. Has anyone had this issue before? I know that the dealership that I purchased the car from "touched up" the wheels because the previous owner was fond of allowing his wheels to rub the curb. I am a little annoyed by this. In all of my previous cars, both preowned and new, nothing like this has ever happened. I'd hate to have not pay to get the entire wheel resprayed.

Cheers

If the areas are that big you might just want to bite the bullet and get the wheels professionally repainted. This can be done for about $150/wheel.
I did this on our '16 ES350 (covered by insurance) and our '10 IS-F The wheel looked as new.
If you don't want to do 4 at once just do one side and 6 months later do the other 2. That way there is no issue with paint match.

My IS also has some chipping along the rims as my dealer also filled in curb rash from the previous owner during the CPO refurb process. I keep an eye on my chipped patches (have them on two of my wheels), but I do plan on buying touch up paint and filling them soon. E46CT created a pretty good write up for curb rash & I plan on using that for my chips.

I have some chipping from a curbing and a few nicks here and there.

jmoses77 - Is it possible that the previous owner had the wheels repainted and why it could be showing signs of the paint peeling?
