My wife named her Matador Red ES300h "Red October" because Sean Connery utters the
phrase, "engage the silent drive" in the movie Hunt for Red October...and it is silent...and she loves SC

I must be the outlier. I have never given a car a name. Always refer to them by color and manufacturer or model.

This just reminds me of folks who name their ***** Tyrone, or Bubba, or Python, or their vagina Jenny, or Sophia! Yup, I've heard these names before, hundreds of times over the decades.

2017 IS300 Eminent White, I just call her Betsy. She’s named after my other vehicle I call Ol’ Betsy aka Ol’ Reliable. She’s a ‘05 F150 I’ve had since day one.
