Lease ending : where would you go from here?
How much does Lexus charge for every extra mile? is it $0.25 / mile? If your lease is ending, and you're 30k miles over the lease mileage cap, would you still return the car and pay $7500 for the extra miles? or would you purchase and keep the car?
Also, you said your IS350 has rock ships on the front bumper, if you return the car back to Lexus, will they charge any fees for those rock chips?

i would have went to BMW as well as i really like the F30 3 series looks and interior, the A4 is nice, but the interior honestly doesn't do much for me, and i dont like infiniti period. even though if the '17 doesn't do much for you, i would suggest leasing another IS350 for another 3 years even if it is awd until the new model comes out, but i also suggest trying new things, so do whats best for you!
I checked out and test drove the XE a couple months back and the ride/handling are superb. Best in class. But, I couldn't get over that stark-looking interior, out-dated infotainment, and loud unrefined vibration-inducing diesel engine (didn't test drive the supercharged V6).
In short, I signed on a '17 blue A4 S-Line and it's a nicely polished car with nice tech, but I'm not feeling any passion for it. I miss the IS and looking to get back into a '17 (very soon)!

Because I just leaseed a White IS200T 3 months ago, and cause of my work commute, I will be 30k miles over the 30k mileage cap from the lease (so after 3 years end of my lease, it would be over 60k miles).
Do you think I should pay the mile fees $7500 , or keep the car?
At the minimum, definitely buy out the lease and keep driving it until you find something you like better, then sell it to your brother. Over the summer, I lease transferred a '14 IS350 AWD from my cousin off a 36 month lease (ended up being a $500 buyout fee and $250 lease transfer fee into my name. The car ended up being really cheap compared to the comparables on the market, even though mine was only a F sport Series One.
Even if you bought out your lease out and drove your car for a few months, I think you can drive it for free or. Or get in to a nice E90 M3, if you want to stay RWD. Your dealer I am sure wants your car back to sell as a CPO.
Perhaps for interest sake, test drive a 2017 model to see if you can appreciate updates and get the numbers for another 3 year lease as interest rates are probably lower now, since the current IS chassis is three years old, you might be able to drive the same car for less monthly. Since you had an F sport, maybe try an Executive trim level this time around.
It seems you have know and thought about every other comparable in the market and it probably looks like there isn't much out there. For the record, my cousin had a 2011 IS 350 AWD, which he broke the lease early to get into the '14. He is now driving an '16 C450 AMG, for less money than he was paying for the IS.

I would personally buy it out. There may be a small niche market for the 350 RWD that you can take advantage of, especially with low mileage and it looks like you've lowered and done some other mods. However, if you're gonna sell it to your brother and they demand the family price, then it will probably work out to the same as a trade-in at the dealer if you were going back for another IS.
I know you're under mileage lease, but "IF" you're over the mileage about 30k more, so like 60k miles for example, would you return the car and pay the mile fees? or keep it? thx.

I would have taken the mileage cap higher if I was sure how much it would be, but at the time I wasn't sure of how much i would be driving, that's why.
Well I would pay $7500 and return the car, cause then I can lease a brand new car. I just dont like the feeling of driving any car after 3 years old.

I personally would go back to a German car... specifically VW,my last two cars now were Japanese (nissan370 Z) and my current Lexus I S 200T
prior to going to Nissan I had a Volkswagen golf R and absolutely loved that car!! I had upwards of 90,000 miles and didn't have one single problem with it( it was built flash exauhst intake ETC.) But after having it a while I decided to go with a two door sports car I guess it was just a phase I was going through I also built the 370 Z to just stupid fast power (525 HP) .... many many tickets later and almost killing myself LOL... I was over it and I decided to go with a luxury make that's how I ended up with Lexus. I don't necessarily regret the decision I do like my current lexus....but have to admit after having that power on hand I actually really miss it!! and there's something to be said for the fit and finish of a German made car. In my opinion not necessarily better just different.... it's kind of hard to put into words but I have made the decision I'm definitely going back to VW...the current golf R is very limited production and to be honest it isn't really in my best interest to trade out of my car this early (i'm only one year into a three-year lease )but I'm definitely going back when the new version comes out in 2019 because for the price point of the golf R at almost identical numbers as a Porsche Cayman 300 hp and 0-60 4.9 for right around 40 grand you can't beat it. And that's at stock stats I might add once you get into building the vehicle ( exhaust, intake, flash etc.) you're talking about serious fun. Not to mention it has every amenity that my current Lexus has and the interior is way way nicer, Also supposedly the new version of the golf R is going to have way more horsepower than the current model so I'm definitely looking forward to it just hanging on my to my car for A year and a half more .... anyways to each their own that's my .02 cents

If it were me, I probably would have traded out of my lease early (that's how I got into the IS I have now), but let's say I kept it till the end. With some rock chips, the dealer will probably not charge a fee. That would be normal wear and tear, from my experience. My last car, a Camry, had a few rock chips, as well as a small scratch on the driver's door handle and a smudge in the clear coat on the rear bumper - no problem.
There are lots of good options on a replacement for the car - the C-class is probably my second-favorite in the segment. I think buying it and selling to your brother once you have found a new car is a good move.
