Default Need Understanding On Dashboard Settings & Using Paddle Shifters

Just purchased a 2016 IS200t (F-Sport) and I have a few questions about the dashboard settings and paddle shifters - would appreciate some insight.
  1. Rev Indicator & Rev Peak - should these always be on? I'm assuming this is for when you are in manual - never driven in manual before.
  2. REVPeak is set at 5,000 - should I adjust this up or down? Why?
  3. Rev Indicator - I'm assuming this is when gauge turns red right? Even when I'm in automatic it does this.
  4. Turbo Option - should I use the paddle shifters for this?
  5. Paddle shifters - is there a "how to guide" for this? I went on Youtube, but the videos I saw had 50/50 split ratings.. looking for a credible tutorial. I think I kind of know how to use them... based on the Rev indicator correct? so when it turns red, shift up? If that's correct, then I need to learn when to "shift down".

Hey buddy, welcome to the forum. It's tough to show you the functionality of those things over the web. best thing you could do is probably go to your dealer, and ask them to demo for you.

Just to drop my 2 cents, the Rev Indicator and Peak are active even when not in manual mode. Rev Indicator turns the tachometer red when you reach a certain RPM threshold (which is 5000 by default). Rev Peak shows a little after image of the highest RPM you hit when at high RPM (like above 5000). So, they are basically both just eye candy, but the Rev Indicator can help you shift without having to really watch the tachometer, I suppose.
