i see that you ignored all of our suggestions. lol. 19x8.5 with a 245/35 will rub the liner pretty bad (as doodlebug experienced and stated above) and it's not recommended to go narrower than OEM width on the rears. any reason you want to stick with a square setup? AWD? if not, even with 19x8.5 all around, i'd go with 235 or 225/35 in front and 265 or 255/30 in the rear
it was recommended by the Vossen rep to go 8.5 given the enphasis of no rubbing issues. But know that I cant have the same tire I am kind of regretting it cause I wont even be able to rotates the wheels. why not go narrower on the rear? From what I searched the ideal size for 8.5 are 235-245 and it says max 255.

im sure you could go 235 all around without rubbing issues... but, you'll lose some performance when you put wheels on that are out of spec. with 235 all around may make the car oversteer more, less traction overall, etc.

Spoke to Lexus and they do not recommend 235 rear, only 255... Since I wont be able to rotate the tires Im trying to exchange 2 wheels to go 19x10 but getting a hard time, even when the wheels are still in the boxes

I daily drive my car and had 225/35/19 in the front and 235/35/19 in the rear for 3 years and it was absolutely fine. Same tires I will be getting for my new wheels too. If you aren't planning on really lowering your car that much then I would definitely say you don't need 235s in the rear.
I don't understand much of wheelm offset, which are more prone to rubbing on the back, the 9x8.5 +32 or 9x10 +42? one is wider but less offset while the other has a more aggressive oofset.... what I'm trying to understand is which ones stick out more thus are more prone to rubbing.
If 19x8.5 +32 is the more conservative approach I guess playing it safe would be going square, 19x8.5 225 or 235 in the front and 255 in the rear. Is there a difference between 255/35 and 255/30? (Wide wise)

I am running Hankook V12 Ventus 235/35/19 squared, 19x8.5 +35 lowered on RSR downs. I do not rub at all.
My reason for going squared: I drive ALOT, about 70-100 miles a day and would rather be conservative and be able to rotate my tires. I live in California and it practically almost never rains here so traction and what not does not mind me much.
I wish my wheels came in +32/+30 or even possibly +25?, i feel like it would look better if the wheels were pushed out a bit further (see pictures). I am no wheel expert but i was told if i have gotten wider wheels then that wouldnt have happened (can someone confirm?). I was thinking of getting spacers for the rear as well.
My summer setup is 245/40-18 Michelin PSS on 18x8.5 +35 all around. Had minimal rubbing on the front inner wheel well which was taken care of with a heat gun and 5 minutes of my time.
Tire Rack also recommended not doing anything less than 255 in the rear...
what I don't understand is why some people with the same specs, 19x8.2 +32 19x10 +42, some rub in the rear and some not with the same drop.
tire sizes across brands are not going to be exactly the same specs.
some brands have higher sidewalls, some are a little wider/narrower.
some cars have camber arms installed in the back
10 inch wide on the rear with 35 offset. I rub when there's 2 passengers other than myself, or when i hit really hard bumps. My rear fenders rubs against the outline of my rims. I am not lowered; if you were to lower yourself, it should not rub due to the natural camber.

Rears gotta have a little stretch in the tires for it not to rub. I'm at 19x10+45 with 255/30/19 with no rub. I've got a little less than a 2 finger gap on rsr downs. so with your setup, which is a little more aggressive in offset, but if you go with half-downs, 255/30/19 would work just fine. you'd rub if you went any wider

the guy who sold me the wheels that is some king of car guru (30years in the performance business) told me that it wouldn't matter; no negative effects going 235 all around
