2016 Lexus IS200t Suspension and Engine GoPro Footage -- Turbo whooshing content =)
I've always wanted to do a suspension footage video. I think it's cool seeing the shocks, springs, bushings, etc. at work.
Same for the engine.
Wonder no more!
Didn't drive that crazy... I plan to do some more videos once I get a better idea how to set up the lighting, etc. It's very difficult to mount a camera underneath the car securely. nothing to mount it to!
Threw this together quickly. Used my GoPro Hero Session

The turbo makes the same noise in all modes. The modes do not affect it. Also in a car like this you don't necessarily want turbo noise. The turbo wasn't installed on this car to satisfy a bunch of car guys.
It's a premium vehicle. The point of the turbo is to deliver more power/torque and better fuel consumption. The engineers do everything they can to suppress turbo noise. It does sound cool though.
And thanks.

Thank you. Makes me realize how much our rear subframes move around. I understand the importance of movement for compliance but I think it's a bit on the soft side. I'm starting to think about installing RC-F subframe bushings (assuming they'd fit). I think they should considering IS/RC shares subframe and RC-F is an upgraded RC. Of course if it's too involved, I'd leave it alone. Probably requires a press. May consider it when the car gets older. Or just get an RC-F. haha!
