Hello everyone. I was wondering if someone has or had the same issue I'm experiencing now. First of all I daily drive a 2014 is250 f sport. Some days, I've noticed this high pitch ringing noise near the passenger side? And the only way I won't hear it is if my music is loud enough or if my car is turned off. I was thinking maybe it's because it's starting to get cold? I'm from the Pacific Northwest and where I'm at, it's still in 70's.. Hopefully someone can let me know what's going on. Thanks again. So basically engine running is enough to make the ringing noise?

If you rev the engine does the ringing sound change?

Might be a loose fastener on the exhaust.

 

Can you post a video?

 

Could be the fan in the vehicle.... might need some lube. This happened in my last vehicle.

 

I'll try and post a video when it happens again. It happens randomly.

 

It sounds like its coming from inside the cabin. I have no idea what it could be. I'll try revving the engine when it happens again and will keep you posted.
