3IS Works with 245/40/18 Tires at Front? 18x8.5ET38 Rim
Would my 2014 3IS Works with 245/40/18 Tires at Front? Not Lowered, still on stock suspension.
Just aquired a set of used BBS rims from EVO X (18x8.5 ET38)
They came with a set of Bridgestone Blizzark WS80 (245/40/18)
I had 3mm spacer for the fronts so no rubbing against strut at all.
I noticed when the wheel is turned fully there is a very small gap between the liner and tire (small enough that I can't put my finger in there)
Had them on for 40km because one of my stock tire needs to be patched.
Didn't notice any rubbing except when I was backing down a sloped driveway, heard some noise, but wasn't 100% sure it was the tire.
Since I will be driving on them on highways everyday in winter and it snows a lot at where I am, want to make sure it's safe.
Anyone who had tried having 245/40/18 at the front? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I'm running 18x8.5 +35 with 245/40 pilot super sports (known to be wider) square setup and the only rubbing I got was from the front inner wheel well, which got taken care of with a heat gun and little pressure.
I'd suggest you get some mud flaps for the winter to save the sides of your car from all the winter crap since this setup makes the tires stick out more.
