The Niche Misanos are great, I just got the Niche Targas 19x8.5 and 19x9.5, 225/35/19 and 255/30/19 offset 35 front and back. It is very flush with the car and gives a very nice aggressive stance. Zero rubbing issues on Half downs. The drop is perfect as it will settle quite a bit. On day 1 it was exactly like yours, barely noticeable. After two weeks they were noticeably lower and have stayed steady. Can share some pics if you'd like to see what that looks like.
By the way, these are the only offsets available:

There is no 40 offset Misanos in our bolt pattern.
33 in front and 35 in the back won't rub if you go with the tire specs I have above and half downs. Did a lot of research before hand. Again zero rubbing issues, even with 3 adults in the back.
They only have 40 offset for the 18x8 and 18x9.5, I would love to see pics of your car with the Niche wheels.

Car looks really good, the anthracite finish really matches the nebula grey! Is your brake calipers currently red or black? The rear wheels will be more concave than the front because it's 9.5" wide.

Oh right, that plus offset makes the difference. Calipers were red for a week but I didn't like the look, just changed it to gray today to go with the flow of the car.

You will definetly rub because I had 225/35R20 with 20x9 in the front and it rubbed with stock suspension. The tires would rub the plastic liner when fully turn. Also, the tires were rubbing against the strut and I was afraid it would damage the tires when the springs is fully compress. This is the reason why I'm going with this new setup and running 18" wheels so I can lower the car because you can't really lower with 20" wheels without a lot of work. Here's a picture of a member that had 20" wheels with RSR Down springs and it damaged his fender.

Ouch!! That can happen and specially to our cars since the rear fenders kinda fold in a bit. Best thing to do is to get a slight pull (it almost happened to me with my 18x10 +20 and 265/35 tires).

That's fender damage is due to incorrect width and an aggressive offset used. You can run 20s, but the issue is the rubber band tires you will need to stay close to the overall diameter of the stock tires.

That's the thing with 20s, I don't feel safe driving on stretched tires. I think 19s is the biggest size for the 3IS.
Can't wait to see how it looks after it settles and also after you add your new wheels. I've seen different results based on tire size/width in reducing the gap even more. So you can make it look lower without actually lowering it further.
I have had my half-downs sitting in my garage for months. I'm still debating on wheels.
I have a question. I'm going to replace it with an oem spring, is there a difference in ride quality from rs-r? The spring rate looks a little hard. My car is a luxury trim and has a soft suspension. The strut has just been replaced with an oem.
