Does anyone have a good recommendation on where to get a Lexus Touch-up Paint bottle? Looking for something just to have onhand to cover up any small scratches etc.
Looking for Ultra White and some advice on where to buy. Did an ebay/amazon search with no too much luck...
Lexus dealership. You will need 2 bottles, and will cost you $10/bottle, as the ultra white has the base coat and the top coat. Just got it for my wife's ultra white.
OEM touch up paint is hard to apply. You will almost always end up with some kind of plaint blob. I strongly recommend you go to a professional for touch up repair or get Dr. Colorchip.

I’ve used Dr. ColorChip on my UW 3IS to repair minor rock chips to my front bumper prior to installing PPF. Minor chips is about all I would use it for. I’ve also used it on my GF’s gloss black paint and noticed that it’s much more effective on simple two-stage paint jobs (base coat/clear coat) than it is on tri-coat paint jobs (base/mid/clear). In my opinion, it does a poor job of matching the UW factory paint, but it is effective and very easy to use for a specific purpose.
For larger ding/scratch repair and color matching aftermarket parts, I use paint supplied by this company: http://www.automotivetouchup.com/. I’ve use their aerosol cans and touchup bottles/brush on my UW 3IS. They work flawlessly when used properly. It’s high quality paint, which is probably why I find it easier to apply than any other paint I’ve used. It also does an excellent job of color matching the UW. If you order from them, your product will come with base coat and mid-coat. Clear coat has to be purchased separately.
does anyone know the proper steps/sequence to apply touch up paint, like how many clear primer applications, how many paint/clear coat applications, wait in between? Also, since my paint chip has has gotten down to the metal, its show signs of rust (not too bad just a little light brown/orange color). What can i use to remove that rust in the paint chip before apply the touch up paint?
Looking for this too. I could have sworn my tire protection covered small touch ups however service at my local dealer advised only rim repair and small dents are included in that...
I have a huge rock chip and my cars black it looks horrible
Sweet, need to pick up myself a bottle at the dealership and will check out the Dr. ColorChip. These paint chips are literally about 1/8 inch and i just want to have a quick dot to cover up.
Not as severe so using something quick and easy. Does the Dr. Colorship easier to apply vs Dealership touchup paint?
