Are there any options out there other than the Lexus black chrome? The dealer said that dipping a set of emblems to look like carbon fiber runs around $500. And black chrome is $300.

I can't imagine it is so difficult to machine black metal or carbon fiber to look like the emblems for a better price, or maybe it is, I don't know. The front L seems to be the most expensive piece but I have yet to find a combo of the back and the side without the one in the front. Or is there just not enough demand?

 

I used plastic dip and saved couple hundred bucks.

 

The markup is intentionally high on aftermarket car accessories, in particular for luxury brands. I went the plastidip route at the back too.

 

I currently have plasti dip but let's just say after a few attempts, my skills leave a lot to be desired around the edges

 

Black pearl emblems. I think that black chrome really just sets it off with a combination of a satin black grill, plastidip will probably work too....

The black chrome also keeps a stock oem look to the car.
