Default Problem braking IS200T?

Hi guys,

My car is near 3000 miles now.

I feel like I'm having problems braking on the IS 200t 2016 non F-sport. It doesn't smoothly come to a stop. I have to step on it harder to brake. Like from 40 to 0 and sometimes 20 to 0

I took it to the dealer and they said the brakes are fine. I haven't wash my car in a month after the rain. I wonder if it could be the brake dust that is causing this. My front wheels are full of dust.

I drive auto all the time, but I noticed you can downshift on the paddle shifters even if you're not on manual. Is it bad to downshift often while braking? Will this damage the engine if I downshift while braking?

If I continue to brake like this, my tires are going to wear out fast. I'm probably not going to get performance tires next time. I think the stocks are Dunlop summer times. What kind of tires do you recommend for a low road noise, and long lasting with many miles?
