tyre air pressure on IS 200t f Sport
Hi ,
I wish some one please advice me here regards to the tyre air pressure . Do i have to increase the tyre air pressure (PSI) when i change to a different profile tyre?
Example :-
The std stock tyre is ,front 225/40R18 and the rear is 255/35R18 . The recommended PSI is 36.
Now, if i change the front tyre to 235/40/R18 and the rear tyre to 265/35/R18. Do i need to increase the air pressure or remain at 36PSI ?
Many thanks in advance

Generally depending on the tyres you use, there is a tire air pressure range.
In your owner manual there is also a Pressure range. I recommend just picking a number between then
If all fails, use recommended pressure on the sticker on driver side door frame

I use the recommended tire pressures posted on the label inside of the driver's door and have the 18 staggered wheels as well. The recommended tire pressures are 35 psi for the front and 36 psi for the rear. Be sure to check your pressures weekly and when temperatures drop. After 25,000 miles, tire depths measure at least 5/32. I expect another 5,0000 to 10,000 miles before replacing the tires. I have the EL400s which get poor ratings on Tire Rack, but these tires are great compared to BMW runflats that can best be compared to driving with concrete tires.

Thanks for the input guys
So after checking the side wall tire , it says " never inflate exceeding 40psi" .
So i guess i just stick to 36 psi at cold reading coz anything below 36 psi at cold the meter cluster will show tire pressure check light.
More over i dont speed exceed 220km/hr . lol.......
Anything above 220km/hr the tire pressure has to be at 38 psi .
Thats what says in the car manual
cheers
