Dear members, not sure if this is isolated or happen to others, but i found my 200t f sports have some weird issues with gear selection.

whenever after a uphill drive (as in the car has to lower gear to gain speed), my gear sort of stuck on the lower side. ie: stuck on 5th gear at speed of 60km/h, or stuck on 7th gear at a speed of 100km/h.

however when you goes to much lower speed or come to a stop, it seems to reset, and all is fine afterwards.

manual paddle shift does nothing, after a few second, computer auto goes to the stuck gear.

 

I somewhat notice this problem too especially in normal mode. I usually leave it in sport mode and it seems gear selection is better. Or I just use the paddle shifter to downshift multiple times if needed which still downshifts when you're still in auto mode.

 

i have not tried sport or sports+ mode yet, so not sure there. yes the paddle shifter will downshift fine, but i am more after higher gear in cursing. i guess next time, i will try manual downshift to gear 3, then say if computer auto corrects to the better gear later on.
