Initial thoughts Blizzak WS-80's.
Initial impressions on dry pavement. Temp 37 degrees.
Very quiet. Granted the Lexus cabin is quality and tight. However, much quieter than I expected road noise wise. Went into a couple corners at a moderate pace and felt minimal roll. I notice they turn in easier and quicker than the stock tires. Solely due to them being narrower. I checked tire pressure after install and cold and they were all at 32.5psi. I set all 4 to 38psi. I opted out of the TPMS and no light on dash after approximately 50 miles and numerous ignition cycles. Just a line through where the numbers should be.
Overall and with limited miles, I am very happy on dry pavement. Tomorrow if we get the 1-4 inches or more, I will go out and play around a little and give snow feedback.
Pictures are not the greatest. I'll get some better shots tomorrow.
Hope you all have a nice weekend!
Are the stock tires on the AWD in the US Bridgestone Turanza EL-400s? I didn't think the stock tires were so bad, until I got Michelin PA4s. Then I figured out the stock tires are complete garbage from a handling perspective. When handling on a winter tire is better (granted the PA4s are performance winter tires), you know there's something wrong. The PA4s are also much quieter.
