Default Windshield Wipers

So I've had my 2015 IS250 for only 7-8 months, and it happened to rain in CA. My windshield wipers were put to use, but the wipers make loud noises. The rubber does not seem to wipe the glass smoothly or quietly as it skips or drags when the wipers go up. Will the dealership fix this at no cost?

Thanks for the replies.

Sounds like something on your wiper blades or windshield. I would start by washing the blades with some soapy water and giving your windshield a good cleaning as well and see if that improves it.

Since it already rained, I doubt we'll see any rain for another 2-3 years in CA... (just kidding?) Definitely try cleaning your blades and windshields. Running your finger across the surface the glass, it should be very smooth, if not, try using a clay bar on the glass.

No, the dealership isn't likely to give you new wiper blades for free. I would guess that in the cali heat with no use, they may be dry rotting, or your windshield has something on it. But you can purchase just the rubber parts of the wiper blade assembly (I think it's called a refill) and install them without needing to purchase the entire pricey replacement wiper blade. They are only a couple of bucks that way (just the rubber refill). My parts guy showed me how to change them.
