Do most of the companies that apply PPF detail the car (paint correction) before applying the film or do they leave that up to the owner?
You are likely going to have to find a detailer to do paint correction first, then you take it to your PPF installer.
BTW, I have Xpel Ultimate on the whole car (black RC F) with no wax/coating and it's glossy. Zero maintenance and since it heals minor scratches, there's no polishing ever again.

Thanks for the info. I think I may have found a detailer that has an installer right next door. I'll have to drive an hour to drop off the car but I'm thinking this will be my best bet. Thanks everyone for the assistance.
Thanks for the info. I live in Virginia and the Xpel locator only gives two locations that apply Xpel and neither are closer than 1.5 hrs. As for Ceramic Pro, I emailed the company and that is how the local guy contacted me. Only problem is he doesn't do PPF as he just does CP in his garage so I would have to take it somewhere for paint correction/PPF application and then to him for Ceramic Pro.
If you don't mind me asking, what did it cost you for each process (Xpel & Ceramic Pro)?
Uhh the quote I got for a full car was around 6500+
I believe there was couple other members that got it done for around 5k
Guess it is just more expensive in PNW :/

Uhh you prob should Paint correct. Mine does, cost extra. Thats why I always get mine protected as soon as I purchase a car, saves a lot on pre-detail

Pretty much you can treat a Xpel film the same as your car paint. WAX/Polish/Sealant etc
This is why I applied Ceramic pro over the XPEL. but you can just wax the film for a cheaper option.
For me, doing the whole car is just a little overboard and quite costly but to each his own. After talking to several installers and reading posts on here doing paint correction, PPF, then Ceramic coating is the process to follow. Did you put your badges back on after the PPF was applied?

Yes they should detail the car as a preparation for the PPF. My installer detailed all the surfaces which will be covered by the PPF. Other parts which will not be covered were left without detailing.

Ceramic pro I got multiple layers for around 2K
I don't recommend going full car as you are trying to protect the car from environmental effects such as rockchips and dust stormed effect and the only affected part is the car front. Additionally if your car got rear ended then you will go over the hassle of getting money from the insurance to re-install the PPF.
For the same reason I think full front PPF + ceramic pro ( one layer) should be enough.

Whole car was $3200 (but it's a coupe). All pieces are cut on a machine using patterns from Xpel. There are cut outs for the badges, so there is no removal.
I don't even bother with wax/sealant/protectant outside of what is in the wash and detail spray I use.
The reason I went full wrap is so I never have to polish or chase scratches around ever again.
