Lease warranty for modifications
Quick question about my lease, I'm into modifying my cars and my IS is my first leased car.
I've done some minor stuff like tints and lights but would want to possibly put some RSR springs on and a cat/axle back but am hesitant because of warranty issues. Does anyone know what will void my warranties.
Or can I make some changes but have to use Lexus oem specific parts? Like f sport intake/exhaust

Here's Lexus' warranty: http://www.lexus.com/warranty/ Read it with your lawyer hat on.
As you can see it states Lexus will correct defects in materials or workmanship of any part supplied by Lexus, except in the following situations: And one of those situations is alteration or tampering.
So, they will not warrant parts not supplied by Lexus (obviously) and they will not warrant any parts that are altered or tampered with.
I would venture a guess that a dealership could claim that the shocks were tampered with if you install springs and parts of the emission control system was tampered with if you install exhaust system.
But remember, they have to prove tampering or alteration of any other parts, on a part by part basis, to deny warranty replacement of unrelated parts.
