It's the correct type bottom but my IS has a wider fitting with a 14mm bolt not 17mm as in the coilover.
Just wondering since they put the "a" on the end of XE2 (which is a 2IS), maybe they are 2IS fronts & they just changed the rear to a seperate shock & spring with the XE2a?
I believe the 2IS front fits 3IS without any problem as I did see another forum member here ran a 2IS setup without installation issue. They possibly sent you a GS setup which share the same rear setup as the 3IS.

Yeah I thought about that but I couldn't find a listing for the GS :/
I rang today as I still haven't heard anything & apparently KW (Aust) said something about a possible adapter kit missing?? I can't imagine that there would be an adapter kit if it was made for this car.
Anyway I said i don't want any dodged up setup & will get the Ohlins if they can't resolve it with the right parts.

That's unacceptable. I have never heard ther is something called adapter kit...
i really wonder how come they didnt include their own top plate/hat on their coils like rsr.... for this variant 3. i dont really like the idea of using the oem since their can be margin of error when installing the oew top plate/hat to the new coilovers.
Good to know. Im still waiting for mine. Good luck with ur install
Thanks

Yeah dunno, maybe something to do with keeping the "luxury ride" or maybe so the strut motors sit back on & do nothing
Coils are all fitted. I haven't had a chance to give it a good drive yet but slightly firmer, probably feels like it's in Sport + permanently, overall quite happy.
Here are some pics of the install
The missing instructions about modifying the front strut tops
Haven't got any side on shots yet but basically the rear was lifted to match the front wheel gap I had with the RS-R Downs. Rear now sits at 2 degrees negative camber instead of 2 1/2 degrees.

Thanks for keeping us updated. My vendor also told me that there are missing parts from my package i beleive they are the bolt spacers for the front shocks but good to see that you have everything resolved and installed. I still do not get why they dont include their own top plate. Even bcr coil starting price at 998 US has their own top plate. Goddddd
In case you need to purchase a replacement top plate in the future as i beleive the current plate is modified which unable to be reused on the oem shocks. I have found everyone the part number.
