I love the S5!
It was my first choice..until I put my little kids in the back seat..not enough leg room even for them.

Too bad...maybe after they get their own cars.

Problem is I am not really a fan of the looks on the IS-F. Looks bubbly and awkward. My 335 wasn't exactly stock, I'm not saying I could whop an IS-F beacuse I'm not a racer, but that 335 was insanely fast in my book. It'd be hard for me to believe the IS-F was quicker, and even if it is, I know for a fact my wife wants the new body style and not the old one, and I'd agree.

I've had fast cars, I still have a fast car for a garage queen. And I just don't see how going so fast on public roads for a daily is such a prerequisite. I mean if you can't get by with a 250/350 what the hell are you in such a rush for?

I get it, to each his own. But it just makes me wonder when I read these power complaints what seems like a near daily occurrences. I mean at the end of the day there will always be a faster car.
I wonder the same. I am an old guy at 44 and I commute to work. I have a 250 F Sport. It does the job just fine. It's quiet, smooth, and reliable.

Despite having lived in Germany and having a connection with the country, German cars are just not on my list. To me, it is just not acceptable to build cars with maintenance issues. As you said, to each his own.

Love the car. Best looking Audi IMO. I would be taking that thing for an ECU upgrade ASAP. That's one thing I love about VAG, big gains for cheap from APR, Unitronic etc.

Nice choice Loe Kinda wish Audi kept the 4.2 in the S5. Loved how it sounded.

Did you consider the S3 at all?

I did, but it didnt make sense to buy such a compact sedan and a compact coupe made more sense at the time. I wanted a 2 door and quattro is handy in FL monsoon season.
