have the installer wrap the edges so that you don't have to deal with unsightly lines and/or dirt accumulating in visible creases.

edit: nvm, you're only going for a partial install not full coverage.

Yes since I figured I don't drive it daily. I noticed the front part of the bumper is the area that gets hit alot.

Thank you all for your input. It's been very helpful. I went ahead and scheduled the work. I will come back with my initial impressions after install.

I would pay for the full hood and fenders. The grime lines will drive you nuts. I did full wrapped behind the edges and never been so glad that I did.

I was able to upgrade to XPel for $750 total. Does anyone have experience with this brand?

How does it look on a white car and what brand after months/years after install? Any advice is appreciated!
I installed a 3M Clear Bra on my Starfire Pearl 2010 IS 250 AWD when purchased new.

I have put 135k miles on her and it still looks fine.

Those are exactly what I'm referring to and they all now have some very dark outlines (which is why I tried to remove them myself).

My installer quoted me 6-7 hours for the xpel. He said it's slightly harder to install compare to 3m.

Try that goo gone stuff. It worked well I removed the dirt on the edges using a q-tip and a micro fiber towel.

oh. those serve a purpose, though. that area is gonna look rough if you remove them. i mean, i know you didn't, but since they don't look so great now, you could have an installer redo them for you.

How is it holding up so far? What coverage areas did you get and how much was the install if you don't mind me asking?
