hahaah DRBAZING, what can I tell you, I am a confused man :>((( That happens when you ask you friends for their opinion, they steer you all over the place and yes, I almost was convinced to test drive an 2013 S4, got excited, but then I remember when I leased my A4 and 7 trips to the dealer, over 22 days in the shop total with various issues, I said "NAHHHHH", not for me. Love the look of the S4, but I have to narrow down my choices or else, I will go crazy.

Found a 2014 350 F sport (Non AWD) for $36,896 with only 5,600 miles (non certified) from a Lexus dealer with a killer combo of Gray with Rioja interior. I will throw a crazy number at them since I am paying cash, and see if they bite...I'll wait for June 27 so that they reject it and then call me back LOL.

Will keep you posted.

p.s. I should not be worried about getting a non AWD for here in NJ? I do have a commuter beater that I tend to use in crappy weather. Any non AWD would like to chime in, any regrets of no getting AWD in either the 350 or 250?

i'd stay away from '14 model year, stay away from the first year glitches. also the well known battery drain issue looks like appear only in '14 model year IS, am i right?

Oh man STLGRYM, now you are messing with me head :>(...well, after reading your post, I spent almost 1 hour reading through posts of those that had that problem. I was not aware of that, and I noticed that it is resolved by changing the battery to a higher power one and to make sure I dont take delivery with the stock battery (since it will be pre-owned).

I know about the "do not get first year production" issues of any new model, but I am going with the legacy and reputation of Lexus. My beater car is a toyota with 249,000 miles and is a work horse. So I think, with a great percentage of certainty, that although 2014 is 1st year, I have a chance of getting a solid car. Besides, the freaking price difference for a used 2015 is ridiculous!!! Luckily I can take my time to get the car I want,so I will make sure that when I make the offer and if they do accept, that battery will have to be replaced for a brand new one of no deal.

Thanks for bring it that up. That's why these forums are so helpful.

That's a killer deal and you should take it if it checks out. But first, why would a Lexus for sale at a Lexus dealership with only 5,600 mile be non-CPO? All they have to do is put in through a standard Lexus inspection process to get it certified. And it's also way below blue book... the market value for an F-sport with that mileage directly from a dealership should be closer to 40K+. Is there something wrong with it? I would do a little research before jumping into that car.

I recently payed $37K for a certified pre-owned lease return (Obsidian with Rioja F-sport fully loaded) with 24,000 miles and I couldn't talk them down any lower. The dealership said, "our price is competitive and we'd be happy to match any offers". I thought I got a good deal, but you my friend, you could be getting what is essentially a brand new $48,000 car for an $11,000 discount.
