Anyone know what is in this? Is this a catalytic convertor? If I chop this off my car will it fail emissions lol

 

That's the stock resonator. You will not fail emission by chopping it off. The car will be louder though.

actually i had mine removed, barely noticed any difference.

to get a noticeable sound difference you have to cut the secondary cat off as well. The bulb in front of the resonator circled in red. I only removed the resonator and it made no difference if you're running stock exhaust
