How much to ask for a trade in?
Hello there my fellow members. I know some of you probably don't like me because I take an adverse stance with respect to our beloved 3IS and aggressively promote Audi product. Nevertheless, I need your advice as what would be the fair price to ask and receive for a trade of my '14 IS350 F-Sport. This weekend I am visiting Audi dealer and hoping to get S3 but at the same I don't wanna be ripped on my trade. So here is some info about vehicle:
1. 2014 Lexus IS350 F-Sport (Original MSRP - $48,060)
2. Ultra White exterior and red interior
3. Nav, ML, Blind Spot and Cross traffic alert, back up camera, floor, trunk mats, trunk net, wheel lock etc.
4. 21450 miles on odometer
5. Manufactured sometime in November 2013
6. F-Sport exhaust, F-Sport intake, clear bra (Xpel ultimate, half hood, full bumper, side mirrors)
7. Full interior light LED upgrade and exterior LED puddle lights
8. Full tint (35% front and 5% rear)
9. Brand new tires (michelin A/S3 around 1K miles on them now)
10. Installed aftermarket spoiler (http://www.ebay.com/itm/14-LEXUS-IS250-IS350-IS300h-3RD-GEN-EXTREME-TRUNK-SPOILER-MATTE-BLACK-/281514387738?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Year%3A2014%7CMake%3ALexus%7CModel%3AIS350&hash=item418b90a91a&vxp=mtr)
Per KBB trade in FMV of my car is $34,387. I wanna ask a dealer to give me $36,364 that includes all installed accessories (f sport exhaust etc). The dealer offered 31K. But that is a start. What do you guys think should be the lowest price to accept?

Thanks for your response. I already negotiated price for S3. They are giving me 6% off MSRP and $500 an additional discount. So basically almost an invoice price. Generally Audi does not discount S3 right now. So I am pretty sure my price for S3 is the lowest that it gets in the current market. The issue here is how much I get for my 3IS.

Very good number on the S3.You're right on the not discounting the S3 much if at all.
Good luck on the IS number.
I love that S3.

You'd be best to take off all mods you have and put the car back to stock.
You won't get anything for the clear bra other than a "thanks! you saved the paint!"
LEDs, you will be better off to put the stock lights back in and sell the LEDs on the forum here, the Audi dealer coudlnt' care less.
Finally, KBB gives you about $34k for an excellent car. The dealer is going to offer you the auction value because they will not want a Lexus on their property. So take another 3k off.
If you get $31k, I'd be surprised. You keep the mods on...expect less.

info about vehicle:
1. 2014 Lexus IS350 F-Sport
2.white (easy sale) red interior (not an easy sale)
3.
4. 21450 miles on odometer
5.
6.
7.
8. Full tint (35% front and 5% rear) this actually hurts you because the dealer is likely going to have to remove the 5% and add matching 35% tint all around
9. Brand new tires (michelin A/S3 around 1K miles on them now)

IMO, I always go by NADA values as thats what the majority of dealers and banks go by on car values. As well as auction prices as already mentioned but typically on a car that is less that 3 years old the NADA value can be held on to because the dealership can sell it at retail value and make a tiny profit. Considering I've seen mustanges, porches, and jeeps sale at Toyota and lexus dealerships. I think audi can sell an IS 350 fsport. specially when a buyer sees the lower sticker cost when coming to look at the price of an S3. FWIW: http://www.nadaguides.com/Cars/2014/...S350-V6/Values
I think you could push for 33,500 but I wouldnt go any lower than 31,500

Interesting, I just did a sell request through USAA on my car, which is pretty much identical to yours, except only 14,000 miles, and was guaranteed $36k from a local dealer.
I didn't pull the trigger, though.

The pursuit of F
Agree with Swacer, from my experience, expect auction price so it can only go up from that. Good luck with the S3. It's a nice car and very tempting!
