So I was listening to music on my radio, while watching a synchronized Christmas light show. During one song in particular, I listened to a message on my phone, which then played through the car speakers, and silenced the music. When the message stopped, and I returned to the radio, all the music and lights were out of sync. At first I thiought the show might be malfunctioning, but later it occurred to me, did the radio buffer what I was missing while listening to the call, and then play it back from that point forward.

 

It could be, was it actually AM/FM radio or was it siriusxm?

 

It was FM radio. It appears to be a feature on the NX, just looking for confirmation on the IS.

 

Performed tests, confirmed it buffers.

 

You do know that you can rewind the AM/FM to the last 15 minutes? It always buffer. In the radio menu there's an arrow under Song titles and it has a menu for rewind and fast forward button.
