Question Fitment Issues?

Finally going to start lowering and putting new wheels on my IS200T. Probably going with the specs below. Do you think there will be any issues?

https://konigwheels.com/wheels/flow-...eels/hexaform/

Rear 18x9.5 et 35 255/35
Front 18x8.5 et 35 225/40
Lowered on RSR Downs.

Welcome to the forum!

For the fitment I would suggest a narrow fitting tire, specifically for the rear.
A 9.5 +35 seems to be hit or miss if it rubs on the fender in the rear, so a narrow fitting tire will improve your odds.
All 255/35/18's are not crated equal and some are a little wider than others...i.e. typically Michelins are beefy tires so they will tend to be on the wider side...and you'll find Conti's and Firestones are generally on the narrower side...you would need to check the Tread Width of the tire you want to get.

If I may ask where did you get those exhaust, spoiler, and the front/side/rear diffuser/lip/side skirts?

Lowered on RSR Downs.

No rubbing issues at all.

Thanks for your input!

I'll definitely look into getting some thinner tires. Just found out that I'm going to need to get some spacers for the caliper clearance as well.

Hey guys looking to get these 18x9.5 +38 Squared set up. Currently on my 2017 IS200T is on Stock F Sport suspension, will eventually get RSR lowering springs. I'm pretty sure they'll clear the calipers in the front but will I rub on the inside when turning the wheels? Any inputs if I'll rub and need to roll fenders when I eventually lower as well? What tire size should I be looking towards to?

For that size wheel you can run 255/35/18 all around...no need to roll fenders, no rubbing issues either. Btw...you can't roll the rear fenders anyways cause they are factory rolled already.
By the numbers the wheels should fit, spoke design is always the unknown factor. These wheels don't look like they much curve to the spoke, but they also look like the backplate is pretty thick...so chances are they will clear the front calipers.
If not, you still have room in the front for a 5mm spacer with that setup.

let me know if you get them! I recently got the DS02 from fitment claiming it would fit my car as a squared setup but didn’t, they were 18x8 +35 . I have friends who work at discount tire and they are able to see what fits with what tire and they price match. Most of them talk smack about fitment industry. I would recommend to go to discount tire as ask them what fitment is best for the your IS

Like Sasnuke says, on paper they work......BUT......I have 2 reservations about the TSR-6 wheels on your car.

1. They have a backspacing of 6.75". My 9x18 +35 Enkei PF01 Evos have a 6.38" backspace which doesn't seem like that big of a difference (3/8"), however, I have less than the thickness of my middle finger gap between the wheel and the knuckle (between 3/8" and 1/2"). Since the backspacing is more on the TSR-6, the wheel may actually contact the knuckle. You're only gaining, 3mm on the offset which I don't think is enough to clear....if it does clear the knuckle, it'll be by the slimmest of margins. A 5mm spacer may allow it to fit.

2. Also the PF01 Evos have decent spoke concavity and clear the front brake calipers by an inch. With the increased backspacing and a flat spoke, I'm not entirely sure the spokes would clear the front calipers. A 5mm spacer may allow it to fit.

Those are 2 pretty big IF's. I don't think I'd chance it even though Fitment Industries indicate they work....unless you're okay with adding a spacer.

For curiosity, I checked Tire Rack. As is, with no spacer, they also indicate that the TSR-6 wheels don't fit a '17 200T F-Sport.
