Hello All,

i will be applying a 3M vinyl to my roof soon, and was wondering if i should take off the antenna or make a hole in the wrap for it?

Thanks

removing the antenna is tough, you need to take the domelight off in the back seat to get access to the bolt holding the antenna. I tried to vinyl the roof myself and its not worth the trouble. you would need knifeless tape for each of the sides to get a clean cut.

I saw it done. You don't need to remove the antenna. Cut just above the base of the antenna and just tuck it under neath. Looks clean.

had to google knifeless tape, way cool stuff! i was concerned with how the 3IS doesn't have a gap at the roof gutter for the vinyl to go into, where a knife is usually used. knifeless tape makes my concern go away! thanks!
