Will putting new lowering springs damage original shock in the long run?
I want to lower the car with RSR DOWN SPRINGS but I have some people telling me that I will destroy my shocks in time and other people saying its fine.
Any and all professional advice would be appriciated on this matter.

I don't think it would be a big difference being that the shocks are new. It might be more of an issue if you were to have some wear on the shocks and then decided to put the springs on. There are a million different opinions on this... That's just mine.

it all depends on which springs and shocks you go with. Many aftermarket suspension companies (ohlins and Bilstein) and fixed strut combo set that would lower the car very minimum and give you better handling.
Companies like Koni and Tokico shocks are made for factory ride height, so you would not improve longevity of your shocks.
As long as the drop is very minimum (1" or less) would be ok for awhile. But I would definitely recommend some high quality coilover sets if you want lower ride or looking for better handling.

depends on the combination of shocks and springs. I've run lowering spring on stock shocks for around 100k without issue, including some track time and plenty of driving over terrible roads. I'm currently leasing an IS so I'm definitley not going through all the work of installing/removing coils in two years regardless of how cool the service manager is. So springs it is as long as it's leased to get rid of the gargantuan suv like wheel gap...

I can't speak on behalf of the IS as I am taking delivery of mine tomorrow, but I took delivery of a 2012 Kia Optima SX February of 2012 and had it lowered two days later. I traded the car in with no issues at any time from the shocks after driving 31,000 km.
Shocks are cheap anyway, so if they go you can always replace with some aftermarket units designed with the lower springs in mind

What of the shocks provided from Lexus with the nitrogen gas system, would those last longer if the car is put on lowering springs?

EDIT: Apparently the RSR springs are designed with stock shots, though they offer a modest drop (2.5-3 cm front, 2-2.5 cm rear)
