Default Puddle lights

When I walk up to my 14 IS 350F at night I think the light on the bottom of the side view mirror (this is called the puddle light, right?) is supposed to turn on, but mine doesn't.
Is there something wrong, or did I accidently turn them off and don't know how to turn them back on?

Check lighting setting in vehicle but the default should be on unless it was turned off in personalized setting. This is one of the setting that must be changed at dealer. Did the dealer turned it off?

I believe the light switch has to be n the auto position for this to work, The vehicle might also have to be locked as you approach.

I just found out why my puddle lights weren't coming on. I park my car in my garage and of course I don't lock the doors. The puddle lights only come on when the doors are locked. Working just like they should.
Thank you Dashmer, you were right.
