$36K tax-in is a great price as well as your color combo selection. As some have mentioned, you can always get it custom ordered and although some sales reps/dealers might discourage you to do that (as they want to sell what's on the lot), stick to what you want, i.e. non-NAV is rare so you will likely need to order. PS. From signing/ordering to delivery, it's on average 3 months.
I'd skip an autobroker, because he/she is a middleman and will be adding some extra $ in their for the service of finding you a car. You can do it on your own with little effort. Email SoCal dealers internet departments and get them to compete for your business. This is how prices start dropping fast. White on tan has always been a common color combination and most dealers should have them. Try Longo and Keyes, both have massive inventories.

Thanks for the feedback, corradoMR2!

Will the 2015 model really come out in July? Because that is soon and if all the rumors about first year production cars are true, I would love to see what changes the new model will bring before buying this one now.

Not to stir the pot-your basing this assessment on a few reports on the forum vs how many units sold. I think it a very generalized statement.
There will always be a few with issues- hopefully they are able to be corrected.
You could take it further and say with all the issues Toyota has had / still has, don't ever buy.
Maybe its a lot of the very first ones. I piked mine up July 4th and it has Nav issues. There are a lot of other people on here as well that have issues also. Maybe the later ones are better but I wouldn't get an early vin.

If its the same as last year. The 2014's came out July 1.
The best time to buy is now through the summer. The 2014's are on the way out, and that's when dealers knock off the most. Waiting for a 2015 will yield higher pricing.
Also, the mentality of waiting for the next model year because of a certain feature or function is an endless and non-productive pyschological trap. Every single model year will have something better than the last... you can never win or catch up. The 2015's will be superceded by the 2016's which will be superceded by the 2017's, etc etc.

Great idea. May someone let me know what VIN #'s / codes to look out for?
Much thanks in advance!

You are so right. Viscious, endless limbo. Thanks for giving me that push to buy now rather than later
