I am installing my passport 9500xi to the power source in the mirror. How do you open it to get to the source? If anyone has pictures, would be great.

^^^ as he said i think it is a lot easier to actually run the wire to the fuse box as no tools are really needed, the wire can be run in a few minutes, you don't really have to take the A pillar off, you can simply run your wires around it and down to the fusebox. no splices needed and nothing to buy except the direct wire harness.

but as a suggestion, if your going to go to the trouble of running the wires buy the escort live direct wire kit. that combined with your RD will bring your detection to the next level.

I was able to get to the wire and put in the live wire to the blue and ground to the white

pretty much do what was posted in post #2. I just ran the wire for my escort radar detector. Im going to order a MirrorMount for it its a lot cheaper than the Blendmount
