Wow... about all I can say....

Side question, what did you need to do to make the stock emblems futon those 19" LFA wheels?

Looks nice but did I read correctly that this is a lease car? If so why would you do all this work on something your going to give back?

What part of Colorado are you in? We lived in the springs for 7 years.

colorado springs! about 19 years now. i live on the east side in stetson hills.

yes leased car, and everything you see besides the emblems is easily removed. the tint was 20 bucks, BIG deal!
and the wheels will be removed and used for the next IS or sold likely to a CL member

i spent a total of 700 bucks on the rims, and i don't mind buying tires since likely the stock ones will be worn out by the time i need to trade in anyway, so why buy new tires for the next guy?
this way i get the look i want and the tires i want without doing anything to the stockers and it will have more trade in value if i trade in early or just finish the lease.

the tint and clear bra cost me 400 total for the entire car. might as well keep it nice while i own it!

I guess i don't try to pinch pennies when it comes to my cars. lease or not, ill take care of it just like it's my own while i drive / rent it!

besides, even if i had purchased it i would likely be trading it in in 2 years anyway. i generally don't keep cars more then about 30 k miles.

So since I have PCS and cannot replace the front emblem with a black pearl. What do you think of this?
I tinted the front emblem with the same vinyl I used on the tail lights.
Take a look and compared to the chrome trim around the grille, does it look close enough?
My opinion black pearl emblem doesn't really look good with obsidian. It's hard to see but it looks like hyper black finish which I think looks better. Perhaps you could do the same for the chrome piece around the grille.

On another note how the heck did you wash your car in that cold weather? I'm trying to figure out how to do the wash in my garage since it's so cold outside. I would like to wash, polish and put opti-coat on it before I get my Suntek PPF.

+1 for that answer haha. This cold weather sucks for washing cars!

lol it got up to i think 40 degrees today, but here is the secret, buy a house with a south facing driveway!
my last house was north facing, driveway always froze. in fact my next door neighbor across the street was washing her mercedes benz at the some time, he managed to create a skating rink on his driveway while mine was bone dry!
his was so bad he started laying cardboad down across the sidewalk over the ice (he is not the smartest Korean I've ever met lol)
so i offered him some of my sidewalk ice melt salt stuff and a hand held grass seed spreader to fling it over his driveway with.
he was very appreciative about this and i think surprised. but as i told him i have had 2 bags of the stuff for the past 2 years, i never really need to use it because if you can just get a little snow off the driveway the sun melts it pretty quick even if it's only 20 degrees out!

as you can see from my pictures, we have snow on the ground but most of it melted today. supposed to be sunny all week.

i pulled the car in the garage to do the sealant and the wax, it was quite warm and i was only wearing a t shirt!
i know in Minnesota it probably gets colder than here, truth is in colorado springs we get about 10-12 days per year you can't drive a RWD car. in the mountains forget it! you have to park it for the winter.

Yeah we are in negative temperature range and plenty of snow & ice on the ground. If you tried to wash the car outside right now in MN, water probably will freeze before it hits the car!

My plan is to go through touchless car wash and air dryer and then do rinse-less wash and polish in my garage. I'll have to get my space heater out there to keep warm!

I think this car has made me crazy for even thinking about washing it in my garage! LOL! But I really want to polish and get Opti-Coat on before PPF. I'll have to see how this goes!

Looking good . . . . . . . . . Do your temp tags really last until February? That seems like a long time for DMV to do their thing.

That looks nice! Is the tail light tint outside or inside? What product did you use to achieve that?

Rvinyl but i wouldn't recommend you try it unless your somewhat experienced in laying clear bra and window tint, both of which i used to do myself. now i let the professionals do it because for the money they can do a better job than me for tint and clear bra. they didn't want anything to do with covering these funky lights. i got impatient and did these in a cold garage. i really need to do it in the sun and take the lights out to wrap over the edges. i am not happy with the way it turned out so i ordered more material and i am going to redo them.
