Great post.. My 2013 RX 350 is having annoying rattle/ticking on driver side b-pillar.. right next to my ear. Of course, dealer's response is "our technican can't hear it.... " I wonder if step 3 of 3 insulation is the source. There is suggestion on the overhead handle is causing rattle, but when I press around the handle and rattle is still around

on the last diy are you pulling the plastic trim piece from the window frame and then adding felt? My RX makes the worse popping souind from the plastic trim piece. I need help to fix it

Great information! I have not noticed any sounds yet but this would be very helpful.

Thanks folks, hopefully you won't have to make use of this DIY, but if so, it really has helped me - so far after 4 months, the fixes still result in a solid quiet interior.

On my RX, the grab handle is not a noticeable source of squeaks but keep in mind, the slightest fraction a millimeter that's off can make all the difference between the metal clips rubbing into the metal cavity in the ceiling. That's a potential source of squeaking there. Most of my squeaks in the RX were similar to the IS and fixed in a similar fashion.

No, not on the IS since there is no plastic trim surrounding the door window frame. On the RX, yes, pull the frame carefully back and felt it inside. There's a DIY on that in the RX forum which has helped me eliminate most of the squeaking in that area.

I have a 2014 I350 F Sport and my rattling problem is the piece right above the gauge cluster. It's been rattling since day one and it drives me crazy that a $50K car rattles more than my wife's Hyundai Sonata!

My 2015 IS 350's driver side door rattles a lot. From my observation it's the power window control stalk. Is anyone else experiencing it?

My girlfriend has a 2013 Hyundai Sonata and it's one of the quieter cars that I've been in. I've especially noticed that there is absolutely no wind noise in her car!

Hello everyone. I tried all the solutions here but none of them worked. Seems like mine comes from around the driver's door glass area. Any ideas? Now that there are more 3IS on the road as compares to when this thread was started, i'm pretty sure some 3IS owners out there are experiencing same kind of problems.

Tried electrical tape solution on door striker yet?

I had something similar. See my post at https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...ml#post9056138

Yup tried it but sadly it did not work. Trying it again just to make sure. Will observe for a few days.

Wrapped striker 3 times with electrical tape and drove around town during lunch time (really sunny that time) then again later in the cold evening to check if different temperatures has an effect. So far "nail-on-glass" tapping didn't appear (prays it won't come out again). Unfortunately, another type of sound replaced it. The good thing is it's much softer and less annoying than the original problem. I also have a theory that the new sound can be "relieved" by opening then closing the window. Will observe further and update here so someone else with the same problem can try the fix if it works.
